The 7th AIMS Conference on Dynamical Systems and Differential Equations will be hosted by the Department of Mathematics from May 18-21. This is one of the largest international mathematics conferences ever hosted by a university in North Texas.

The four-day conference is expected to attract more than 700 participants from 40-plus countries across all continents except the Antarctic.

There will be more than 500 plenary, invited and contributed presentations at the conference covering a broad range of topics in mathematics and their applications in various areas such as biology, medicine and materials sciences.

The conference events will take place in the E. H. Hereford University Center, 300 W. First St., and Pickard Hall, 411 S. Nedderman Drive.

Sponsors of the conference include the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), the National Science Foundation, The University of Texas at Arlington and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Detailed conference information can be found at http://www.uta.edu/math/aims2008/.
