The Special Olympics Summer Games kicks off May 22nd at the University of Texas at Arlington. However, the planning committee is facing a pretty big problem. Not enough volunteers.

3,000 athletes will be competing, representing cities and towns from all over Texas. In order for the games to run smoothly, there need to be an equal number of volunteers as there are participants. A week out, however, and they are 1,000 people short. According to the FWST article, they most need volunteers to work Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24.

Check out the website here for more information on how to volunteer. After May 19, this website will give more detailed information on what specific volunteer positions are still needed.
