The City of Heath will hold a regularly-scheduled council meeting at City Hall on Tues., May 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Even though the Heath municipal elections were canceled (because only one candidate filed for each open position), there are still new (or newly re-instated) officials to swear in at the meeting, including Mayor John Ratcliffe; Place 3 Councilperson Julie Zurek; and Place 5 Councilguy Lorne Liechty.
In addition to the swearing in, the election of a Mayor Pro Tem is on the agenda.
Items up for consideration include discussion and action on a citizen request to close the access easement to Horizon Rd. (at the end of Center Court in the Buffalo Creek Tennis Village Addition), and creation of a Heath Dept. of Public Safety (via Ordinance 080520).
There will also be briefings presented by heads of various departments and committees, including Planning & Zoning; Board of Adjustment; Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board; Economic Devpt. Corp.; the Park Board; the Special Events Board; the Dept. of Public Safety; Bldg. Inspection and Public Works; Municipal Court; City Staff; and Budget & Finance.
