Oak Cliff’s Rev. Frederick Haynes could be named NAACP President today
The NAACP is expected to announce its new president today. In the running is the reverend at Oak Cliff's Friendship-West Baptist Church, Frederick D. Haynes III. As a result of infighting and financial problems, the NAACP has lost some power and influence in recent decades. According to the DMN religion blog, Haynes is considered a prime candidate to bring the nearly century old organization back from the brink.
