Season tickets for Dallas Cowboys games won’t cost you your savings

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (3)

The Dallas Cowboys released their season ticket prices on Thursday for the new stadium and they aren't as expensive as one might have feared. 50,000 seats will be reserved for season ticket purchasing, ranging in price from $59 to $125 per game, including two pre-season matches. At $59, the cheapest season ticket seats are only $9 more than they were at Texas Stadium (granted, that's an 18% price hike). As was the case with Texas Stadium, single game tickets will not be sold. Season tickets will first be offered to current ticket holders.

'Tis true, Erin -- if you like sitting in the far reaches of the upper deck. Of course, you don't mention that every season ticket except for those $59 seats will require the onerous Seat Option price, which starts at $2,000 and goes up from there. Yeah, that's a once-every-30-years fee, but it's just greed beyond all boundaries to make nearly every person buying seats in a stadium pay a Seat Option on top of their season tickets.

I was going to chime in on this but then I realized I have nothing more to add that Alex didn't already say.

Oh wait, I thought of something. Why on earth would I want to PAY to watch the Cowboys?

I've never even heard of the Cowboys.

(A little tongue in cheek with the "won't cost you your savings", by the way.)

The Magnetic Fields Quartet led by songwriter Stephen Merritt is resolutely "indie" so how come their music has been used in a Volvo commercial and appeared in the film Lemony Snicket? More info
