Flower Mound Emergency Medical Services Division celebrates 20th anniversary
The EMS Division received its first call for service on April 1, 1988.
FLOWER MOUND The Flower Mound Emergency Medical Services Division recently celebrated its 20th anniversary of providing emergency medical services to Flower Mound residents, neighbors, and visitors. The EMS Division received its first call for service on April 1, 1988.
Flower Mound’s EMS Division service has not been limited to its own borders. First responders have been pressed into service during times of national disaster such as Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
The Flower Mound Fire Department now has 60 personnel assigned to fire equipment and ambulances located at three fire stations and responds to nearly 4,000 calls for service annually; 51% of these calls are EMS related. Department members have received numerous honors and awards which reflect their commitment to service.
