FORT WORTH Chef Deb Cantrell, owner of Brownie Points Personal Chef Service (PCS), will open her own restaurant this summer, called Cantrell's Lakeview Grill. The new restaurant is located on Eagle Mountain Lake at the Lakeview Marina and will celebrate its grand opening the weekend of June 7-9. Brownie Points PCS will also operate out of the new location.
Known for her fresh and healthy gourmet food, not to mention her not-so-low-cal Godiva chocolate liquor brownies, Cantrell will put her own spin on favorite lakeside fare with signature burgers (beef and bison), fresh baby green salads, hand-cut fries, wraps, and fried pickles. A Friday night fish fry, a Saturday night gourmet special, and kids-only selections will round out the menu. The Saturday gourmet special will feature Chef Deb favorites, such as Pepper Crusted Fillet with Cabernet Sauce and Garlic Mashed Potatoes or Pork Tenderloin with Cinnamon Apple Glaze and Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes.
Located on the northeast side of Eagle Mountain Lake, Cantrell's Lakeview Grill will offer indoor and patio seating, plus dockside and slipside service. Live bands will play on the patio most Saturday nights, and patrons can bring their own beer or wine.
"Cantrell's will be a relaxed, waterfront restaurant, with selections to satisfy everyone's tastes," said Cantrell. "Stop in for a lakeside lunch with the whole family, a Saturday dinner date on the patio, or a fresh meal delivered directly to your boat."
Cantrell's will be open on weekends only, throughout the summer boating season. Brownie Points PCS will operate out of the kitchen year-round, providing personal chef and catering services. Plans are underway to offer healthy cooking classes and event rental space at the restaurant during the week. Call 817.236.1006 or visit the Web site for more information.
