Hawaiian Falls Mansfield to open on Thursday, May 22
The 14-acre waterpark will open to the public from 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. The park will be open daily throughout the summer season.
MANSFIELD On Thursday, May 22, a Hawaiian surfer, direct from the Waianae Coast of Oahu, will catch the first wave at the new Waikiki Beach wave pool at Hawaiian Falls Mansfield. Polynesian dancers will entertain throughout the day.
After a private ceremony for special guests early Thursday morning, the 14-acre waterpark will open to the public from 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. The park will be open daily throughout the summer season.
Located on 14-acres at Heritage Parkway and Texas Highway 360 in southern Tarrant County, the $10 million waterpark is a joint venture between Hawaiian Falls, the City of Mansfield and the Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation. The city owns the park and Hawaiian Falls will operate it under a 40-year lease. The park expects to attract about 150,000 guests each year, and will contribute an estimated $5 million annually to the local economy.
Featuring 12 waterslides, the football field-sized wave pool, a lazy river, two children’s areas and water walkways, the park is the largest and most elaborately themed of the three area Hawaiian Falls waterparks.
Like its counterparts in Garland and The Colony, Hawaiian Falls Mansfield will host weekly concerts and “Dive-In” movies throughout the season. There are also private cabanas for daily rental, corporate and group picnic areas, and birthday party zones to create the perfect environment for special events.
Daily admission prices are $17.99 for persons 48 inches and taller; $9.99 seniors (60 years and older) and children under 48 inches tall. Children two and under will be admitted free with a parent or guardian. Season passes, regularly $79.99 per person, are on sale for $59.99 for a limited time at www.hawaiianfalls.com. Season passes are valid for daily admission to all area Hawaiian Falls at no additional charge.
Effective Thursday, Hawaiian Falls Mansfield will open daily 10:30 a.m. – dusk, and noon – 7 p.m. Sunday, through Labor Day weekend.
