$50 million Dallas budget gap may require service cuts
DALLAS — To close the $50 million gap in Dallas' budget for the 2009 fiscal year, Dallas may cut its library, parks and recreation, and zoo and aquarium budgets, among others. The budget gap assumes a 5% increase in property tax revenue, which may also be off depending on the value of real estate in a soft economy.
