DALLAS Avner Samuel, chef and co-owner of the 5-star nationally-renowned Aurora, announced that, starting Monday, June 2, he will begin offering a new menu with lower prices: appetizers starting at $9 and entrees starting at $19. This effort will maintain the essence of Aurora - an absolute dedication to providing a profound dining experience -- at a more affordable price.
The menu will incorporate locally grown and certified organic ingredients while utilizing classic preparations, French techniques, and cultural flavors. Aurora will also be expanding its world-class wine list to include a range of certified organic, bio-dynamic and sulfite-free wines such as the organic family offered by Benziger.
Samuel will keep his tasting menus, also offered at reduced prices.
Beginning Tuesday, June 3, Aurora will commence lunch service Monday through Friday, with appetizers starting at $9 and entrees starting at $14. The new lunch menu will be enhanced with a choice of three-course prix fix options priced at $16.95 and $21.95.
The menu will continue to rotate, with changes based on the seasonal availability of local vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Smart move, given the market. And the pantry shake-up sounds promising.
