Film guys discuss forthcoming attractions at Dallas’ Inwood Theater
So, we were intending to film our Forthcoming Attractions segment for the iMedia Network anyway, and I got this press release from the Landmark folks about their newly decked-out ground floor theater setup at the Inwood, so I thought: why not film the segment there?
Forthcoming Attractions for June 2008
In which Alex and John visit the Inwood's plush new living room theater
What you see here, then, is the first public glimpse of the plush, cushy accommodations awaiting movie-goers at the Inwood. Grab a martini from the adjoining lounge; sink into a LoveSac; try not to spill. Can you think of a better venue for taking in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? I can't, but then I'm somewhat imaginatively challenged.
By the way, I spoke with theater management after our filming and asked whether the living room seating arrangement wouldn't cut down on the number of seats/tickets that could be sold for each screening. The answer is "yes," which of course begs the question: will ticket prices be going up? Answer: that's still up in the air, though they may end up raising the prices (for the ground floor auditorium) to match those already in place at the other local Landmark-operated property, the Magnolia.
Watch the video for our look at movies coming your way in June. (Why did it have to be flies?)
