DALLAS Scene Restaurant & Lounge, located at 300 North Akard Street on the bottom floor of the historic Mosaic Building, is repaying its guests for their patronage by picking up the bill for a few lucky tables. Throughout the summer, one table at lunch and one at dinner will be treated to what Scene has dubbed a little "gratisfaction" to make sure guests know they’re appreciated.
As the popular downtown hotspot has enjoyed a loyal following since its December opening, co-owners Michael Bratcher and Chef Blaine Staniford have decided to share the wealth. "It is important to us to let our guests to know we appreciate them," says Bratcher, "and we thought this would be a fun way to show them we notice them and care about them." The "gratisfaction" promotion, which will take place every day through the end of August—excluding Sunday brunch—entitles the first table at lunch and one table during dinner service to receive their meal gratis (alcohol, dessert and tip not included).
The dinner table will be chosen at random each night through a secret system known only to the Scene staff. Guests will not know if they are the lucky table until their check is presented. "We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends all summer and hope this offer conveys our gratitude to each of them," says Executive Chef/Owner Chef Blaine Staniford.
