Citizens can vote on 6 possible new names for Industrial Boulevard

As part of the Trinity River project, The City of Dallas is renaming Industrial Boulevard. The names include Cesar Chavez, Eddie Bernice Johnson Parkway, Riverfront Boulevard, Trinity Lakes Boulevard, Trinityview Boulevard and Waterfront Boulevard. You can vote for your favorite name next Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

...and how did four extremely generic water-type names make the list? Really, what's the difference between all of those? Riverfront, Trinity Lakes, Trinityview, Waterfront

I'll say it again -- why do the survey in the first place if you're just going to disregard the results completely? If nothing else, what was the point? Why give the impression that you're letting citizens have input and then take away that impression when they vote for a name you don't like? It just doesn't make any sense from both a PR standpoint and a political standpoint.
