In an attempt to increase voter participation amongst youth in North Texas, Vincent “Young Heartbreak” Tucker is proud to present the Register To Speak Out! campaign. A non- partisan effort, Register To Speak Out!TM plans to help area youth understand their impact on democracy and encourage them to vote for the right candidate that represents them in the upcoming Presidential election.
Following other successful non-partisan organizations like Rock the Vote & Citizen Change, Register To Speak Out!TM will reach potential voting youth in North Texas by using music and entertainment to make voting relevant. Partnering with Charles “City” Gbadebo and CityStream Live Entertainment, Register To Speak Out!TM will coordinate voter registration drives, get-out-the-vote events and voter education efforts to meet its goal of registering at least 100,000 new voters.
At the campaign’s official website, RegisterToSpeakOut.org, people can register to vote using the Rock the Vote online voter registration widget powered by CREDO Mobile. The site also provides links & resources to read about the issues, where to vote and supporters of the campaign. Some of the supporters include rising business, music & entertainment professionals like Vernon Hadnot (D210 TV), Cedric Lyons, Sr. (411 Sports & Entertainment), Shellye L. Williams (National Business Women Enterprise), Clyde Smith (ProHipHop Network) and Rock-T (Radio personality, KBFB-FM 97.9 Dallas-Fort Worth).
Considered a rising music/entertainment executive, Vincent “Young Heartbreak” Tucker is the founder of CWC Entertainment Group, LLC, based in Dallas, Texas. At the age of 24, he oversees one of the south’s emerging urban music entertainment companies, encompassing a broad range of businesses including recording, artist management, public relations, event promotions and CD Duplication. He’s currently an advisory board member for T.O.M.I. MagazineTM as well the host of The Vincent Tucker Radio Show, the #1 critically acclaimed show on the 360 D Online Radio Network (360DRadio.com)
“In 2004, the first Presidential election that I was eligible to vote in, I found myself surrounded by peers that didn’t care to vote,” Mr. Tucker stated. “We live in a democracy, we have a say in who runs this country and how its run. Why not be heard? You can’t complain about our government if you don’t take the initiative to put people who support your views in place. So here’s my attempt to fight half of the battle for you; I’ll get you registered. You just have to make yourself heard at the polls."
