At the Taste of Addison this year, Risk Theatre Initiative participated by presenting Pinkalicious: The Musical. After performing such thought-provoking pieces as Slaughterhouse 5, Marisol, and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, the theater company is now taking this children's show and putting it up on their mainstage in Dallas. Rated "E" for everyone, the show will mostly appeal to younger children, older children and youth, with plenty to make the parents smile.

Pinkalicious is based on the best-selling children’s book by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann. The show premiered Off-Broadway in March, and Risk’s production marks the first time regional audiences will experience the pink-tasticness of it all.

Pinkalicious is a little girl who can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the office of Dr. Wink the Pediatrician with Pinkititis, an affliction that has turned her pink from head to toe — a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. Her best friend Allison is super-jealous, and her little brother Peter is super-envious. But when her hue goes too far, Pinkalicious must find a way out of her pink predicament.

The show is directed by the always awesome Marianne Galloway and stars top-notch Dallas performers including Diane Worman as Pinkalicious, Nye Cooper, Brian Wickowitz, Jennifer Jacobson, Betty Milligan, Diana Gonzalez, Hannah Martin, Baylor Worman, Casey Worman, Jake Law, Devon Martin and Bethany Law.
