Two teenagers assaulted near Hurst playground
A 16-year-old Hurst boy and a 14-year-old North Richland Hills boy were playing basketball at a playground near Harrison Lane Elementary on Wednesday, when three young men engaged them in a verbal argument. After one of the young men displayed a knife, the two boys decided to stop playing basketball and head home. The three young men followed them in their earlier model, four-door, blue Caprice Classic and proceeded to jump out and attack the boys. The victims were stabbed and beaten before neighbors heard their cries for help and came out of their homes. The attackers fled the scene.
