Dallas fireman Walter Dunagin III, 40, of Mesquite, is supposed to turn himself in for the beating of his 15-year-old son. The teen reportedly had bruises around his eyes and abrasions on his neck. Which is awful on its own. According to county records, Dunagin's been arrested twice on assault charges but was never convicted. The police say Dunagin knows about the warrant and "should be turning himself in." Dunagin says he's unaware of the warrant, and wasn't sure when he might turn himself in. But check out this reaction from Dallas Fire-Rescue officials whose spokesperson said, "They told you that they're getting ready to arrest a fireman? I guess when and if that happens, we'll get notification that that has occurred." OK then. His son is going to California to live with relatives.

Ghostland Observatory Yes, they play here a lot because they are from Austin. No, that doesn't mean you can't see them again. Of course they will be back, but is that any excuse to not check out what some call the best live act this side of I-10? Didn't think so. "image by: Dániel Perlaky" '06 More info
