Carroll ISD drill team director finalist for statewide award
Emerald Belle Director Melissa Page has been named one of three finalists for the prestigious Director of the Year award by the Texas Dance Educators’ Association (TDEA).
Page has served as Director of Carroll ISD’s award-winning Emerald Belles drill team for the past 12 years.
"I am truly honored and touched that my peers and the TDEA Board of Directors would nominate me as a finalist for Director of the Year,” said Page. “I am so blessed that I have such a wonderful team, parents and school administrators who continue to make my profession a joy." The lone finalist will be named at TDEA’s annual convention January 8-10 in Houston.
The Texas Dance Educators’ Association was formed in 1978. This state organization is dedicated to providing its members with a wealth of information and expertise in the dance field at both secondary and college levels in accordance with Texas Education Agency guidelines.
