Dallas Morning News removed from Obama’s campaign

The Obama campaign says the paper's endorsement of his opponent had nothing to do with kicking them out. Uh-huh.

After the Dallas Morning News officially endorsed John McCain, the Obama campaign requested they go ahead and leave their entourage. Imagine that. Apparently the the Washington Times and the New York Post, both of which endorsed McCain, were also asked to leave (now don't confuse that with the Washington Post and the New York Times). The Obama campaign says the paper's endorsement of his opponent had nothing to do with kicking them out. Uh-huh.

Chris Kidd, says:

Hey, shows once again the DMN shows how illrelevant it is in this day and age. They got booted because they're a right tilting paper and on the same level of a new york post, who engage in yellow journalism consistantly..

The Morning news has a history of representing the elite of Texas life and contradtions,while..the Belo is now like the Stock market, and in a sad state of affairs, then again, it is hard to tame an old tiger who has been eating most of the lower animal kingdom.....some one has to shoot that old tiger and hang it up on a new wall.......A.T/ Hunter In The Journalism Community.

I'm glad. Why not kick them out?

If the news reporting industry is also in the business of propaganda endorsements, then hit the road, Jack.

I canceled my long time annual DMV subscription when they endorsed the second coming of George Bush.

The DMV record of picking good leaders speaks for itself.

So while the Reds have gone K-street for the raw money, the Blues have gone at it from the information angle. Agree/Buy in or no access.

Same animal, different stripe. No good can come of this.

Uhm, they were kicked off the McCain plane, too. SO much for that theory. And they btw admit that it probably doesn't have anything to do with their endorsement, but hey, why rely on facts when you can promote some propaganda fromt he Drudge report.

The only reason I can think of for Laura S to be upset by this, is that it means she might actually have to do a bit more work other than just lazily linking to DMN articles.

And I will repeat it again: Less editorializing and more NEWS. Thanks

Jason Rice, says:

I'd like to pat you on the back for that catch Martin, but what Drudge report muck did they promulgate? I'm a little slow.

While the words probably all Google up in this article --- but that's not the gist.

Texas (Dallas) is not part of the New Urban Elite.... and that is what is driving the media, exactly the same market that Disney courts - and that's showbiz.

Jason,

this story was "broken" by the Drudge report. It's the link used by the DMN comment you linked to. CBS seems to have picked it up, shame on them, but so did then Pegasus (maybe second hand, but that makes it even more lazy). Hence my claim that they promulgated Drudge muck.
