Circuit City to close several Dallas/Fort Worth-area stores
Because of "waning consumer confidence and a significantly weakened retail environment," Circuit City is closing 155 stores nationwide almost immediately, with store-closing sales to start as early as Wednesday, November 5.
Several North Texas cities will now have to go without a Circuit City, including Burleson, Dallas, Mansfield, and McKinney. And they apparently mean business, as those stores are no longer listed on the Circuit City website, just hours after the company made the announcement. Talk about a quick trigger.

For all the Circuit City stores that are not closing, its business as usual. ~ The company seems to primarily be closing its newer stores like the Mansfield store. It was open less than 6 months ago. It was full hardy to expand, to open new stores when CC was already weak. The company started to weaken two years ago. Circuit City's leadership needs to be changed for the company to have any hope of survival. The Board of Directors needs to go first, then welcome any investor to help the company.
