Election day voting a snap in Dallas, Tarrant counties
Not sure how this might translate to the rest of the country, but apparently the voter turnout in Dallas County and Tarrant County is less than overwhelming. Polling locations in both counties reported some lines in the morning, but almost no lines by the afternoon. Maybe everybody's waiting to go after work...?

I made it a point to take a late lunch in fear of wasting time in line (this, after I failed to get up early and show up at 7 a.m. as planned). Got to my precinct spot at about 1:30 this afternoon, walked right up and signed my name while being handed a ballot. A beautiful thing.
So to all my friends who bitched at me about not voting early, suck it!
