Bedford-based Beryl selected by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the top 100 “best places to work”
Beryl offers its 300 co-workers (Beryl's term for employees) lots of perks.
BEDFORD The Beryl Companies, the nation's leading healthcare-exclusive call center, was selected by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the top 100 "best places to work in healthcare." The new program recognizes innovative healthcare workplaces that engage and inspire employees.
Beryl adds this recognition to past "best places to work" awards, including the #2 "Best Place to Work in America" from the Society for Human Resource Management; "Best Place to Work for in Texas" from Texas Monthly magazine for two years; and Top 5 "Best Places to Work" in Dallas/Fort Worth by the Dallas Business Journal for four years.
Beryl CEO Paul Spiegelman wrote about his commitment to an employee-centric culture in Why Is Everyone Smiling? The Secret Behind Passion, Productivity and Profit. "The recognition that we receive reaffirms our ongoing commitment to maintaining an employee-centered culture at Beryl," said Spiegelman. "Our efforts have paid off with low attrition, high customer loyalty and profits that we can reinvest in our co-workers."
Beryl offers its 300 co-workers (Beryl's term for employees) such perks as a wellness program complete with incentives, coaches and healthy snacks; "Beryl Cares," a program through which Spiegelman learns about the events in co-workers' lives, and provides support, encouragement, and congratulations; a culture committee comprised of a cross-section of Beryl co-workers who plan events as well as provide input on policies, change management, rumors, concerns, and more; and a book club wherein co-workers are reimbursed for any professional development book they purchase just for writing a one-page summary of what they got out of the book.
