Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Home for the Holidays November 28-30
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra tradition continues in a holiday show filled with Christmas carol favorites, a family sing-along, the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir and even jolly old St. Nick himself! All the joys of the season and the only place in Texas that it’s guaranteed to snow every night! The performances, which also feature the Southwestern Seminary Master Chorale, will be conducted for the first time by FWSO Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
The concerts take place over the Thanksgiving weekend, on November 28, 29 and 30 at Bass Performance Hall, and are a wonderful treat for visiting family and friends. Performances begin at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $26 - $78 and are available online at www.fwsymphony.org and by telephone at 817-665-6000. Discounted rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Call 817-665-6500, ext. 150 for details.
Patrons who wish to attend the 26th annual Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights presented by CHASE on Friday, Nov. 28 may purchase tickets for reserved, festival-style seating from the FWSO for just $5, half of the regular retail price. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and culminates with a lighting ceremony around the city’s Christmas tree. FWSO patrons who purchase reserved parade seats will be seated as close to Bass Performance Hall as possible, making it easy to enjoy both the parade and the concert following.
