W Dallas-Victory named Hotel of the Year by Hotel Association of Greater Dallas

W Dallas-Victory recently received the 2008 Hotel of the Year by the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas at the second annual HOSPY’s Award Gala. Hoteliers from across Dallas gathered as the organization recognized top area hotels and individuals for their contributions to the industry over the past year. The first W-branded property in Texas, W Dallas-Victory took home the award in the category of full-service hotel.

“From special events such as art exhibits and fashion shows, our specialty cocktails and happy hours, to our award-winning Whatever / Whenever service, we do our best to give our guests and local community a unique and high-quality experience,” said W Dallas-Victory General Manager Andrew Casperson. “We’re thrilled the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas has recognized our efforts this year as we all continue to strengthen the Dallas hotel industry.”

Judges gave HOSPY awards based on the following guidelines: focusing on the guest experience; innovation and efficiency; humanitarian efforts; employee-focused experience; safety and security; specific achievements, such as new programs; dedication to hotels in the industry; quality of services; significant impact on the hospitality industry.

The Hotel Association of Greater Dallas is a non-profit trade association representing approximately 32,000 hotel rooms across the greater Dallas area. Since 1929, the Association has been the principal advocate promoting the best interest of the hospitality industry.
