Southlake’s Carroll High School plans benefit fashion show for Invisible Children
not provided by Carroll H.S.
The cafeteria at Carroll High will be transformed into a fashion runway. Though probably not to this extent.
Carroll High School students will put on a fashion show Sunday, Nov. 9 from 2 - 5 p.m. in support of the California-based nonprofit Invisible Children, whose stated mission is to "improve the quality of life for war-affected children by providing access to quality education, enhanced learning environments, and innovative economic opportunities for the community." The war-affected children the group focuses on are in Uganda.
Clothes to be modeled by the participants (including school leaders, athletes and kids) have been borrowed from area retail businesses.
The show is dedicated to the memory of Carroll High student Maggie Flora, who committed suicide in September.
The show will be held in the Carroll High School cafeteria. Tickets run $15 for students and $20 for adults, with kids 5 and younger getting in free.
