Dallas-based ACS signs $44 million contract with State of Florida
ACS has been working with the State of Florida for over ten years.
DALLAS Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. announced today that it has signed a new five-year, $44 million contract with Florida's Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) to administer a Third Party Liability program for Florida Medicaid.
As part of the new contract with Florida, ACS will deploy Web-based technologies in pursuit of Third Party recovery sources such as commercial health insurance plans, Medicare, Casualty, Estate, Trust and Annuity plans.
"The AHCA sought our services because they know and trust ACS and our management team. Additionally, we offered creative solutions that have been extremely successful in the commercial market, and thereby could provide tremendous savings opportunities for the Florida Medicaid program," said Christopher Deelsnyder, senior vice president and managing director, ACS Government Healthcare Solutions.
"Our extensive TPL product offering will revolutionize the government healthcare market by allowing Medicaid programs to proactively identify alternate insurance sources. These services are especially important in today's current environment where most states are facing major budget challenges," Deelsnyder said.
