League of Women Voters to hold Texas Justice System panel
On Tuesday, November 11, the Arlington League of Women Voters will host a panel discussion about the Texas Justice System at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Arlington. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited.
The panelists will be Attorney James Teel, Assistant District Attorney for Tarrant County and Court Chief of the Child Protective Services Unit; Professor John W. Stickels, Criminology and Criminal Justice Department at UTA; and Randy Turner, Director of Tarrant County Juvenile Services. A question and answer period will follow their presentations.
The League of Women Voters of Arlington, a non-profit and non-partisan organization of volunteers, holds frequent public forums on issues of concern to the community, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. LWVA’s mission is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government. Membership is open to all citizens of voting age.
