Across The Universe singer/actress Dana Fuchs will perform an all-ages concert in Dallas on Saturday November 22 at 4 p.m.

It's a special all-ages afternoon performance at Poor David's Pub. Doors open at 3 p.m. and showtime is at 4 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Fuchs was seen and heard as 'Sadie' in the Academy Award-nominated film Across the Universe. She also played Janis Joplin in the off-Broadway musical hit, Love, Janis.

With "a voice that is sultry and astonishingly boundless" (Village Voice), Fuchs fronts her own soulful band with a raw intensity that shines through in her huge, passionate vocals, her starkly honest lyrics and her fiercely commanding and unapologetic stage presence. Through inspiration ranging from Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Lucinda Williams to the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, Fuchs has created a solid body of original rock songs that honors the past while pointing into the future. The Dana Fuchs Band debut release, Lonely For a Lifetime, "captures a soulful and rocking vibe...but with an earthiness to it," said Fuchs. The most recent CD, Live in NYC and its companion DVD were released in April 2008 providing further proof of the explosive power of her live show. "Live performance is the way I get to truly spill my soul and connect with an audience," Fuchs declares. "I love being in the studio creating, but in live performance every second is a new creation."

The youngest of six musical children, Dana was raised in a rural Florida surrounded by rock, funk and gospel music. By age 19, she'd relocated to New York City, teamed with guitarist Jon Diamond, formed the Dana Fuchs Band and performed at blues clubs across the city, As she developed a loyal following, Fuchs was offered the role of Janis Joplin in Love, Janis. Now with Across the Universe, fans from all corners of the world have embraced her.
