Grapevine minister preaches to have sex daily

Who wants intimate advice from this guy? I mean you can tell from this picture he is obviously lying.

Let’s Get it ON

I'm thinking any so-called "advice" should be taken from this guy.

Rev. Ed Young is taking new twist on an old topic this Sunday at his Grapevine Fellowhip Church: Sex. But this time it's not "don't do it," his words of wisdom are to go for it. Every day (within the confines of man to woman marriage of course). He plans on giving his sermon while sitting on a bed (and most likely plans on practicing what he preaches while in his own bed).

I can just hear the pillow talk resonating. "Honey I know you're tired but it's God's will." Ooh, check it out. There is even a promotional video.

I'm pretty ignorant of denominations, being a heathen and all. But is this not why the Christian folk have litters of children in each marriage? Methinks they don't need any schoolin' on marital relations.

Straight from the Department of Redundancy Department, imo.

Pavel Lishin, says:

Well, biologically speaking yes, they have litters of chilluns because they insert the penis into the vagina, depositing sperm that eventually finds its way into an egg.

Theologically, it's because God told 'em to be fruitful and multiply, though I think the specifics aren't spelled out too clearly.

Talk about the pendulum swinging the other way (phallic reference unintentional). I suppose it's good that Ed's trying to reverse the long-standing taboo that sex has become in the conservative Christian church. In a way, it's been especially damaging to what should otherwise be healthy relationships. I've read articles by Christian counselors who have actually had to tell newlyweds that it's OK to have sex on Sundays. Even worse, one statistic showed a rising number of women who were afraid to consummate their marriage on their wedding night, simply because they still thought of sex as the "forbidden act". Come on, people, get your head out of the sand. This mindset has been ingrained for too long in Bible-belt theology. Of course, I recognize not all "conservative" churches fall into this pattern, but that's been the prevailing attitude. I'm glad someone finally had the courage to rock the boat here. Or, more appropriately, the bed.

At least we now know with an Ecentric Election, things are going to generate some Soul in this system on love and having love well taken care of...as long as we find Peace and Happyness, Now on preaching we should take care of the human organ's I agree with that as Long as we dont run down....Or run into the wrong kind of event's....then again in Paris in the 19th century, 12 times a day was natural....A.T,..French Historian on Wine and Sex.

I think the only people that will follow up on this are the people that don't really have problems with sex to begin with. Issues that have harmed your sex life with your spouse can't be worked out in a week of sex that was "prescribed" by your pastor.

I see where he's going with this, but I think it could lead to a lot of harsh words between couples that aren't communicating and have hurts. A simpler, less sensationalist approach (no pun intended) yet one that was still direct, might have been a better idea.

Lisa Lawrence Merritt, says:

Kinder: absolutely.

Those who are having sex, will and those that don't, won't....still.

There could be a backlash of sorts as some couples might not attend the church for much longer because of the pressure and following discussions in the classrooms.

However, the Baptists do hide it well...

And that is how they preserve scandal, and hide it well, until someone opens up a door and allows the cat out of the box, while it is and should be a private affair, we are a pruddy culture, after all... and unhappy in sex I have come to realize...besides, porn replaced love and work replaced sex.
