Burleson children may get phone call from Santa
It's almost as cool as sitting on Santa's lap.
Burleson children will receive a personal phone call from Santa Claus thanks to the North Pole Calling program coordinated by the City of Burleson's parks and recreation department.
Children have to send their parents to the Burleson Community Center or Burleson Public Library to make an appointment with the most famous North Pole resident. Informational fliers about the phone calls from the North Pole are also being distributed through the Burleson Independent School District's elementary campuses.
Santa's helpers will help St. Nick coordinate the phone calls, which will be made between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8, through Thursday, Dec. 11. These calls are geared toward children from pre-kindergarten through second grade.
Completed forms must be returned to the Burleson Community Center no later than Wednesday, Dec. 3, so that Santa has time to compile his list. The center is located at 500 Chisenhall Park Lane.
For more information about North Pole Calling, call the City of Burleson's parks and recreation department at 817-295-8168. For more information about this release, call the public information office at 817-447-5400, ext. 286.
