DFW identity theft ring took advantage of military members’ info
Oh God. Geez. Just, just keep my banking information. And eat something for crissakes.
Cora Dixon, 33, and Seneca Willis, 26, of DeSoto are both accused of heading an identity theft ring that stole information from sailors and military reservists stationed at two Texas bases. Dixon had been a payroll clerk before she was kicked out of the Navy last year. She used banking and personal information from her previous job to create fraudulent checks and identification. She would then enlist her boyfriend, Willis, to recruit homeless people in Dallas to cash the checks.
The theft ring, which took in more than $1 million, has been broken by Dallas Police.
