Galleria Dallas has already had to scale back on their Christmas Tree (pictured)
PLANO According to this story in the Plano Star Courier, it appears that Chicago-based shopping mall operator General Growth Properties is on the verge of filing bankruptcy. The company owns 15 malls in Texas, including Collin Creek Mall, Galleria Dallas, Stonebriar Centre, the Parks at Arlington, Hulen Mall, Town East Mall, and Vista Ridge.
The company, which dropped out of the S&P 500 earlier this week, claims that the bankruptcy will not effect the operation of the malls in any way.
