TCU and Luther King Capital Management invite businessfolk to economic summit
On Tuesday (Nov. 18), you'll have a chance to devote your morning to a financial summit hosted by the Neely School of Business at Texas Christian University, which is partnering with Luther King Capital Management and the Fort Worth Business Press to orchestrate the event.
The session begins at 7:30 that morning at Brown Lupton Union (2901 Stadium Dr.) on the TCU campus; O. Homer Erekson, dean of the Neely School, will deliver a general session speech beginning at 8 a.m. (once everyone has some coffee under their belts). He will address the topic of "local economic issues in relation to national economic trends."
Following the Erekson talk, a panel of experts (including Larry Brogdon, an adjunct professor at the TCU Energy Institute and a part of Four Sevens; David Porter, CEO of PNL Cos., which has revitalized the former Tandy Center in downtown Fort Worth; and Charles Reynolds, local president of Hub International) will take the stage from 8:30 'til 9:30.
Finally, from 9:45 - 10:45, specialized Q&A sessions will split off from the whole group to individually address the topics of real estate, oil & gas, risk management and finance. These specialized sessions will feature participation by companies such as Frost Bank, Fidelity, Meridian Bank, Chase Bank, PNL, HUB, Southwest Securities, Legacy Texas, Jefferson Bank, Kelly Hart & Hallman, Hayman Woods, Southwest Bank, Compass Bank, OmniAmerican, and Worthington Bank.
Sadly, trans-galactic financial advisor Gorlock was already booked and will be unable to participate.
The summit is free and open to the business community, it says here - without defining what qualifies one for inclusion in the business community. To find out for sure whether you and your business make the cut (and to reserve a place at the session if you do), contact Mary Schlegel at the Fort Worth Business Press by emailing her at mschlegel@bizpress.net; or you can phone Mary at 817-336-8300.
