Hyatt Regency DFW has been honored with a 2008 "Award of Excellence" from Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine and a Silver Magellan Award from Travel Weekly. The recently transformed 811-room airport property has undergone $43-million in renovations to garner this design award from Travel Weekly, combined with the “Award of Excellence” for overall professionalism and quality of service for meetings.
Corporate & Incentive Travel readers nominated and selected properties to receive an Award of Excellence in a recent issue based on strict criteria including superior staff service, excellence in accommodations and meeting facilities, trouble-free food and beverage functions, smooth set-ups and arrangements for social functions, exceptional ambience and convenient and accessible location. Now in its 24th year, the “Award of Excellence” is an annual award bestowed upon the finest hotels, resorts, conference centers and convention and visitors bureaus for their quality and distinction. Distributed to more than 40,000 corporate meeting planners, Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine has been published since 1983.
Hyatt Regency DFW also received a Silver Magellan Award in the Hotels and Resort Elements Category for Upscale (Four-Star) Standard Room Design. The Travel Weekly Magellan Award is the premier award for the travel industry. The Magellan Awards honor the best in travel, distinguishing a broad range of industry segments including Hotels and Resorts, Travel Destinations, Cruise Lines, Online Travel Services, Airlines and Airports, Travel Agents and Agencies and Car Rental Companies. The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards are judged by a panel of top travel professionals and leaders in the industry. Travel Weekly is a weekly B2B news publication for the travel industry.
"We are honored to receive these two distinctions for both service and design," said Larry Daniels, general manager of Hyatt Regency DFW. "The Award of Excellence from Corporate & Incentive Travel reflects the authentic hospitality that our staff provides for each of our guests. The focused attention to detail and functionality that went into the renovation of our guest rooms as part of our $43M transformation enabled us to garner the Silver Magellan Award for Standard Room Design.”
