Wild Art: Photos of breeders for Gay Rights, WW II reenactment, and a man in a suit in a hole

This week we have more from the World War II reenactment from Waxahachie, another shot of Texas Stadium, an awesome building reflection, a few from the "Gay is not O.K." sermon protest, and some general portrait type images. All photos were submitted by members of our Flickr community.

Tips and Tricks

This week, how to photo an obscenely large group of people. First, if possible, go outside. Especially if you are in a small room and don't have a very wide angle on your lens, you can't even get the whole group in the photo. Go somewhere that you can back up. If you have to stay indoors, keep the group only two rows deep so your flash will light every face more evenly. Another tactic for a nice "big group" photo: put the tall and/or large people in the back and the shorter/smaller people in the front. Not trying to be rude here, but you don't want some guy's beer belly front and center in the photo. Also try The ideal is also to have a nice plain background, like the sky with nothing in it or maybe a bunch of bushes. You don't want telephone poles sticking straight up out of someone's head. Also, and probably most importantly, use a small aperture, anything higher than f/5.6, to ensure that everyone's face in the photo will be in focus.
