Lancaster ISD superintendent could be charged with crimes

Larry Lewis could face criminal theft charges for giving out interest-free loans and cash prizes to employees out of the district's coffers.

The financial wrongdoings that caused former Lancaster ISD superintendent Larry Lewis to be fired on Monday could lead to him facing criminal charges as well. Lewis is accused of giving out interest-free loans and cash prizes to employees out of the school district's coffers. An attorney hired by the Lancaster ISD Board of Trustees said these actions could be considered criminal theft.
