Dallas City Council will no longer broadcast public comments
Something to do with the kids and stuff.
Be it the public or the council members themselves, there are all kinds of people who don't add much to the council meetings.
At the end of Dallas City Council meetings, the public is allowed time to address the council, something that often turns into a yelling/ranting/raving session. That section of the meeting, however, will no longer be broadcast on radio, tv, or city hall's website with the rest of the meeting. While no council members or city staff would say why, Caraway pointed out that they couldn't control what language might get broadcast and then he said something about the kids and bad words and whatnot.

Thats the best part of the meetings, when you get the crazy old folks living in fair park yelling about how whitey is keeping them down by not fixing a 30' deep pothole in the street or white "po-lease" officers getting lost when trying to find their house to help them out instantally makes them members of the Klan. I swear, all those folks need is tinfoil hats to complete their crazy person ensemble
BTW, doesnt caraway and leppert have another droopy pants rally to organize??

This is really unfortunate. It would be easy to do a slight time delay of the broadcast, and bleep out any "bad words" uttered by public commenters, as many radio and TV call-in shows do.

Eh...and just when they bought those plasma screens...I guess visitors will have to settle for images filtering from the sewage plant...totally art if you ask me.

I did learn how to be come an Amercian citizen after the many years of having listen to such..repleate and empty silence,one person who had faded from that broadcast was... Al Libscomb, while Larua Miller made the program here here own art show..oh well time to go home, down here at City Hall, by the urban market, time to ride my bike and catch the bus..... until then,A/T....DOWNTOWN.
