Fort Worth ISD has second highest paid superintendent in state
Fort Worth Superintendent Melody Johnson ranks as the second highest paid super in the state this year, receiving a salary of $324,450. According to the Texas Association of School Boards' recent survey, Tarrant County supers are among the most experienced and highest paid in the state.
Johnson's ranking, however, is a tad misleading, according to Trustee Judy Needham, who noted that Johnson doesn't receive many of the perks that other supers receive, such as paid housing.
