The Dallas Police Department has completed its realignment of patrol sectors and beats, and new maps have been released ahead of the changes in January 2009.

The divisions were realigned last October 2007 after the creation of the South Central Division (split from both the Southeast and Southwest Divisions). Further adjustments were made based on patrol requirements, natural geographic boundaries and traffic flows.

For Lower Greenville, the biggest changes are in the size of Sector 140. Instead of reaching to the edge of downtown Dallas, it now stops at Munger but criss-crosses a few streets and jumps to Haskell @ Central. The beats have also been compacted. BelmontNA is almost completely included in Beat 144, LGNA is completely inside Beat 142 and Vickery Place NA is split between 141, 143 and 144.

The new Sector 140 map is included here. You can see the complete new division map by clicking here, and the old map by clicking here.
