Some of the other top institutions represented at the tournament included UT-Austin and SMU.

The El Centro Chess Club now meets Wednesdays & Thursdays 4:30pm - 6:30pm in the College Student Center.

One of the great but not famous Chess players, was an artist by the name of Marcel Duchamp,...1887 to 1968.. and he loved chess, played the game till he died in bed... it is told, Chess the game of Zen solitude to move or wait,,then again loose.. if you dont take your turn...A/T, Chess and Art Historian.
