Theatre Britain's 2008 panto, Little Red Riding Hood, will open November 29 and run through December 21 at the KD Studio Theatre in Dallas.

Meet Ulf and her sidekicks, Gnasher and Slasher, three of the wiliest wolves this side of Plano. They are very, very hungry and they have tracked down the perfect lunch – Little Ruby Red Riding Hood and her Granny!

But will their plan be thwarted by Charlie The Chopper and Ruby’s mum, Mother Hood? Find out in the world premiere of Jackie Mellor-Guin’s newest masterpiece, Little Red Riding Hood.

All the traditional panto ingredients mean silliness galore and, of course, a little romance to warm the cockles of the iciest heart. A panto is a traditional fairy tale complete with songs, dances, jokes, exaggerated characters and lots of audience participation. It’s a wonderful way to entertain children, involving them interactively with the characters on stage, encouraging them to cheer, enlisting their help to support good characters and above all to see that the good chap helps the damsel in distress. And because panto works on two levels, there's plenty for the adults to enjoy as well. Audience participation is everything at a panto. Join in with the characters as they sing the silly song. Boo and hiss as loud as you can when the villain comes on.
