PANACHE! 2008 art gala coming to Allen in November
Tickets are now on sale for Allen’s premier social event, PANACHE!, the annual black-tie gala benefiting the Allen Arts Alliance and Allen area arts organizations.
Pure PANACHE! 2008 will be held November 8 at Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm. Tickets for the evening of art, entertainment, dinner and dancing are $100 per person or $1,000 for a table sponsorship and may be purchased on the Allen Arts Alliance Web site, allenartsalliance.org, or by calling 972.727.7272.
This year’s featured artist is Dallas-based Brad Goldberg, whose large form sculptures can be found around the world. Locally, Goldberg’s work includes “Stratum” located at the Allen City Hall and “Cisterna” at Montgomery Farm.
PANACHE! – Promoting And Nurturing the Arts, Culture, Heritage & Enrichment! – is annually a sold-out event, attracting civic and business leaders as well as local patrons of the arts.
The theme for this year’s zero-waste event is “Pure,” symbolizing the community’s responsibility to not only protect the environment but also to ensure Allen remains the vibrant cultural center of Collin County.
Other highlights of the evening include:
* A seated dinner entitled “A Pure Taste of Allen” featuring one course each from Allen restaurants Elke’s Market Cafe, BRIO Tuscan Grille at Watters Creek, Celebrity Cafe´ & Bakery of Watters Creek and Java & Gelati.
* An original piece performed by the Cross Timbers Youth Orchestra (CTYO), Allen Philharmonic Orchestra and Allen Civic Ballet
* An art gallery featuring original works from select local artists
* Silent and live auctions featuring: “Pure Indulgence”, “Pure Glamour”, “Pure Art” & “Pure Experience”
