North Richland Hills holds Fall Community Cleanup on October 11
The City of North Richland Hills will hold its annual Fall Community Cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 11, at the Tarrant County College-Northeast Campus in Parking Lot E (by the Tennis Courts.) Residents may drop off bulky items including brush, furniture, electronics, washers and dryers, and containerized bricks, rocks or concrete. (Loose bricks or rocks will not be accepted.) One load per address is allowed. Proof of residency (driver's license or water bill) must be presented.
Computers, printers and small electronics will be recycled. Free paper shredding will also be offered from 9 a.m. to noon with a limit of three boxes per vehicle. Paper clipped and stapled documents will be accepted. Service will be on a first come, first served basis and limited to the capacity of one commercial-sized shredding truck. Proof of residency will be required.
Household hazardous waste such as paints, solvents, motor oil, anti-freeze, car batteries, pesticides and tires will not be accepted. Freezers, air conditioners or refrigerators containing C.F.C's will not be accepted. Household hazardous waste may be taken to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC) in Fort Worth. Before going to the ECC, residents need to pick up a voucher from the Neighborhood Services Department.
