DALLAS Restaurateur Wolfgang Puck is holding a contest to name his new restaurant at the Reunion Tower, sez Joyce at Eats, which also recounts the pertinent facts about the place including the fact that it has a view, Asian-influenced menu, and contemporary warm decor; that the name has to be memorable; that it can't be "Puck's"; and that Wolfgang will pick the winner. That winner will get dinner-for-four once a month throughout 2009, an invite to the VIP opening party, meet-and-greet with Puck, free cookware and cookbook. Way to win over the locals! Email your suggestion to wolfgangdallas@wolfgangpuck.com by Monday October 20.

Considering the financial climate timing of this venture's opening, toss caution to the wind and name it "What The Puck".

I... Can recall the building of the Reunion Tower in 1973/74, no one, not even J.R.EWING, knew it would symbloize the kind of meaning it still does today and has for years,it is one of the great Icons of Dallas Modern symbolizim and represents what a lot of folks often say, the Big Ball, and Dallas can and has been a big ball of life, as the light of this ball so suggest at night, while if The Wolf Gang Puck, can smell the sky and taste the buds of food at the Reunion tower, by all means, throw old Cesar a kiss on Industiral, that is the road and the highway to the future.... AS WE ENTER THE SECOND DECADE OF THE 21ST CENTURY........good taste can often be a suprise. Alexander Troup, H.

I suggest that a good name would be "The Budding Chrysanthemum" ... or if you prefer, just "Budding Chrysanthemum". The "ball" does look like a budding flower and the chrysanthemum has a calming image with an asian association. Good luck!
