Dallas Zoo to host Literacy Day on November 9
Literacy Day will take place at the Dallas Zoo on Sunday, November 9 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Educational First Steps, a non-profit organization focusing on improving the lives of children 5 and under from low-income families, will host the event.
Families can ride the DART bus with Gus, EFS' "spokesfrog," and head out to the zoo to support early childhood education while enjoying the beauty of nature. Bring your own picnic and join us for a captivating day of fun and education while you learn from famed children's book author Jan Peck, local children’s entertainer Mister David, as well as other guest authors and illustrators. Families can also cool off at our ice cream bar, enjoy a live puppet show, and dance with the band.
