Dispatch from Coppell High School’s KCBY: Tony Romo attends homecoming game
Beginning with this installment, Pegasus News will be posting regular dispatches from the crew of Coppell High School's KCBY-TV. To wit:
Coppell, TX (September 19, 2008) – KCBY-TV, the broadcast news program at Coppell High School recently filmed Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo at Coppell High School’s homecoming game versus the Weatherford Kangaroos. KCBY broadcast news members; Ashley Leone and Haley Ringo were the videographers for this event. Mr. Romo attended the game with Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coach Dave Campo and his wife. Romo watched the game from the sidelines.
KCBY airs a weekly 20 minute show for 6000 students and teachers at Coppell High School and all three middle schools. Students inform and entertain by producing segments about events and issues that occur in the area. Last year, KCBY launched a sister show called KCBY Español. The biweekly show produces segments in Spanish, providing Spanish speakers with training for careers in Spanish language media, while serving as an educational tool for the Spanish classes.
The home field favorites ended up whipping the hapless visiting marsupials by a score of 49 - 6.
