Mesquite child and Godmother mauled, bitten by dogs
An eight-year-old girl was Careflited to Children's Medical Center at Dallas on Monday afternoon after she was mauled by a pack of three dogs. The girl was visiting her Godmother in rural Mesquite when the dogs, apparently belonging to the Godmother, attacked the child on the front porch. The woman was also bitten when she tried to get the dogs away from the girl.
The child is in recovery following yesterday's surgery. She received puncture wounds to the chest, arm, and leg in the attack.
