DISD teacher turns classroom into crime scene after cell phone, credit cards stolen
The science teacher fingerprinted her students to find the culprit and threatened to press charges.
A science teacher at Comstock Middle School goes all CSI on her students after her cell phone and credit cards were stolen from the classroom. According to one student interviewed by the DMN, the teacher fingerprinted all her students and threatened to press charges when she found the guilty party.
If the teacher had truly been watching CSI, she would have done a classroom exercise that involved some metal thing and taken students fingerprint from those.
Wait, Comstock Middle. That's in DISD. Whew, there's one less hard decision to make.

::She's there to teach; she's not there to be a detective.
And if we're not going to give them grades, why expect basic social constraints of personal property either.
So the teacher was supposed to just report it to the ineffectual office, wait till after work and call all her credit card companies, cancel her cell phone with all the accompanying fees and waiting. ... which she obviously had to do anyway.
Why would anybody teach nowadays? You're just a sitting duck.

Our children are oh so very fragile these days. I would imagine this incident will scar them for their entire lives. I wonder if the parents will sue...

All she had to do was reach into her purse, slowly take out her Glock, place it on her desk with her hand still on the gun and finger on trigger and ask, "now which one of you little, rotten, punk-ass bstards took my sht?"
Fingers would have instantly pointed to the guilty party.

Oh, Lisa.... you evil evil lass
So are you suggesting that since it's DISD, probably the idea of getting shot is less traumatic (or alien) than getting prosecuted.

More likely to get shot than prosecuted..BTW, that teacher should be ashamed of herself...ruining the chance for any of those kids to have a career in professional crime by taking finger prints..for shame!
