Economist makes shocking discovery that selling alcohol brings in money
In one of those "Yeah, I could have told you that" studies, Waco economist Ray Perryman is making the rounds in Weatherford and Irving to tell citizens about his research that allowing alcohol sales can create lots of jobs and bring in tons of money. Gee, who knew that selling a popular product where it previously wasn't allowed would actually make money? It's astonishing!
In addition to Weatherford and Irving, Southlake, Melissa, Greenville, Roanoke, Waxahachie and Fort Worth (parts of it are still dry) will all vote in November on whether to allow alcohol sales.

Too true about it being recession and depression proof. If you can't buy it, make it yourself!! In all fairness, people need something to escape the misery that financial ruin can bring.

In all seriousness, I have always read that the bar business is a good one to be in when the economy is bad.
