FRISCO FC Dallas snatched a tie from the jaws of defeat Saturday, attaining a 2-2 tie with Toronto FC in Frisco. With the win, Dallas improved to 8-9-11 on the season, extending its unbeaten streak to a season-high-tying five games (2-0-3).
More importantly, the tie preserved Dallas' slim playoff hopes, as they now have 35 points on the season with two games remaining.
Both Dallas goals were scored by striker Kenny Cooper, including the game-tying goal in injury time just minutes after Toronto went up 2-1. It was Cooper's 18th goal of the season, putting him just one behind Landon Donovan for the league lead.
